Read Rave Reviews from Students, Parents, Teachers, and Volunteers

The repeated exposure, small group instruction, and working on concepts before the rest of the class really seemed to boost the student’s confidence in her math abilities. She is willing to participate during math.
Faculty

The mentor has had a positive influence on the student, who used to miss my class fairly often because he would arrive late. That rarely occurs now, the student is handling himself more maturely in some situations as well.
Faculty

One morning the student was having a difficult time, but he realized his mentor was coming, his mood changed and he settled down and did his work! He really enjoyed his lunches with his mentor.
Faculty

The classroom volunteer was a wonderful addition to my fourth grade math class. She was eager to learn and willing to help students! She was a great encourager as well.
Faculty

I appreciate the tutor, my son has enjoyed his time with her, she always made it special. Thank you so much for offering this program. It truly helped my son.
Parent

You’ve done a great job working with the student. I have seen a great improvement in the completion of her work and the quality. She seems to be understanding the process of what we’re learning much better.
Faculty

The mentor is great! My son looks forward to every Tuesday meeting with her. I have noticed a more positive and somewhat relaxed attitude in him as well. I am so pleased he is involved in the mentoring program and look forward to having the mentor in his life. He looks up to her as one of his friends. We appreciate her in many ways. Thank you!
Parent

The students love the classroom volunteer. They call her Nanny. They get so excited when they see her out in the community. She said it’s like being a celebrity.
Faculty

My son’s reading improved so much. I’m very thankful he had the opportunity to be involved in this great program. The tutor was very helpful.
Parent

Thank you to the teachers and the mentor for believing in my daughter and not giving up on her. You all hold a special place in my heart and I cannot that you enough. You are all angels!
Parent

My daughter has had more confidence with her work. She has a better understanding and can complete her work with only a little guidance from me because she grasps the concept in school.
Parent

The tutor was wonderful. She gave my daughter much needed help. Very, very grateful to the tutor, he is amazing! Tutoring provided through the foundation has been nothing short of a small miracle for her. For the first time ever, I saw my daughter putting forth a sincere effort to learn thanks to the patience and encouragement and ability to make things clear relating to math. We could not be more thankful.
Parent

I think the Mentor program is one of the best programs the Nottingham School offers.
Parent

This was a successful tutoring program for a very difficult subject. The tutor was so helpful, persistent and caring. We are so grateful for his assistance.
Parent

Everyone was very happy to see the classroom volunteer arrive. They loved her songs and dances, and science lessons, not to mention those twinkly “grandmother” eyes!!
